Rediscovering the castle: the show (2003) |
Rediscovering the castle: the show: Directed and produced by Giuseppe Galliano. It is a multi-media show developed for the re-opening of the Novara Sforzesco Castle.
Three-dimensional reconstructions, actors and real scenes, a sophisticated lighting system, and a series of high definition film projections have given visitors to the castle a surprising experience amongst digital wizards, special effects and virtual illusions.
A real theatre show, directed by Maestro Scaglione, accompanies the public through the Castle’s courtyards. Along the route the theatrical performance has become an integral part of a multi-media production which uses the most modern technology used by Galliano in vanguard television broadcasts.
The performance’s novelty consists principally in watching the show live, outside of television studios, as well as in the integration of the acting of real actors and the reaction of the audience when it is projected.
In order to produce the show the following were used: a mobile film unit, digital film editing in a second mobile vehicle, eight film cameras, a series of motorised lights, an balloon positioned at a height of 10 metres (which re-created the light of the moon), three giant screens of a total of 156 square metres in size, three high definition projector, 42 technicians and 700 kw of electrical current. |
